Dorothy “Jane” Eicher Lipscomb, a long time resident of Foley, AL, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. She was born the youngest of nine children on February 16, 1934 in Ithaca, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Lena Eicher, her brothers and sisters, son-in-law David Peed and great grandson, John Peed. She loved her family and always lived her life with honesty and integrity. She appreciated the beauty of nature and all living things; never turning away a stray cat or dog. Her talents and hobbies were numerous throughout her life: gardening, oil painting, restoring antiques and vintage furniture, ceramics, sewing and writing. Jane was a perfectionist in all her endeavors and was also an avid reader with a vast collection of books. She is survived by her three children, Cynthia Harrison (Robert), Michael Lipscomb and Charlotte Peed; six grandchildren, Candice, Drew and Brett Harrison; Brandon, Tyler and Cameron Peed; nine great grandchildren and two on the way. A private service for the family will be held Wednesday, August 19th at 10 AM. Donations can be made to the Baldwin County Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
