Experience a variety of oysters from all over during the Experience the Oyster Seafood Festival at The Hangout.
The event started as a little one-day festival to be held in the parking lot of the Murder Point Oyster Company's Bayou La Batre location in 2022. It evolved into a 600-ticket event held at The Hangout in Gulf Shores with over 20 of the top chefs from the region and over 30 different oysters to sample.
The first year of the event went so well that it returns in 2023 as a two-day event. Guests to the ticketed event will sample Southern oysters and culinary oyster creations from chefs like Chef Bill Briand of Fisher's at Orange Beach Marina, Chef Bobby Matos of State of Grace in Houston, Texas, and American Seafood Cook-Off Champion Chef Brody Olive of Voyagers at Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach.
Do not wait long to purchase your tickets because they are limited, and multiple ticket tiers are available. General admission tickets are $75 and include one tasking ticket book with 10 tickets. VIP tickets are $200 and include admission to the exclusive Friday VIP Kickoff at Zeke's Restaurant, early admission Saturday, an exclusive cooking demo and premium parking.
