The Foley Art Center held a reception on October 3 in honor of the opening of the new Through An Artist’s Eye Exhibit, which is part of Alabama’s 200 Bicentennial celebration coming up in 2019. The exhibit is filled with art from local artists and features works showcasing some of the most famous places in Foley, Elberta, Magnolia Springs, and the surrounding area throughout the years. Guests have a pick of select artwork that is for sell during the exhibit, while other pieces have been donated from homes and will be returned once the exhibit finishes. The exhibit is free to the public, and will last throughout the month of October.
