Foley Woman’s Club Board meets to plan year’s events

Posted

Members of the Foley Woman’s Club Executive Board met on August 21 to plan events for the kick-off meeting of the Club on September 11 at the Gift Horse Restaurant.

Programs and events for the year were discussed as well as the Club’s disbursement of funds raised at the last year’s Mad Hatter’s event.

The Foley Woman’s Club was begun in 1921 with the purpose of serving the community. Members began the Foley Library and through the years have supported and served the community. The Club’s annual fund raiser, the Mad Hatters’ Event, raises money each year which is distributed to Baldwin County groups that assist women and children.

The 2018 Mad Hatters’ Event will be March 8, 2018, at the Foley Civic Center and will consist of entertainment, raffles, silent auctions and a hat contest.

For additional information about the Foley Woman’s Club, contact President Chris Anglin at 943-3443.
