Fred Kostelecky was born on Aug. 10, 1944, in Silverhill, Alabama to Laddie Kostelecky, Sr. and Anne Chupek Kostelecky. He was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County and passed away on Sun., Nov. 5, 2023, at the age of 79. Fred was a loving father who loved and adored his family. He was a graduate of Robertsdale High School and worked in construction and for Kimberly Clark for 28 years. He enjoyed working around his farm with his cows and other animals. He always grew a nice garden. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Kostelecky. Fred is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vasko Kostelecky; children, Joseph Timothy Kostelecky and his wife, Charlotte Jan Ard Kostelecky, John Richard Kostelecky, Ann Marie Kostelecky Smith and her husband, Scottie Smith; grandchildren, Monica Paige Kostelecky Moore and her husband, Jason Daniel Moore, Joseph Kyle Kostelecky; siblings, Laddie Kostelecky, Connie Kostelecky Fountain, Glen Kostelecky and many other relatives and friends. He will be severely missed by his pets: his bulls, Buddy and Cloud, donkey Jose, dogs, Dolly and Pumpkin and his cats Bucky, Abraham, Candy, and a little kitty. Graveside funeral services and burial were held Wed., Nov. 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Silverhill Cemetery with Rev. Randy Sirmon officiating. A visitation for Mr. Kostelecky was held at Mack Funeral Home Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pallbearers were Kyle Kostelecky, JD Moore, Tony Lubertozzi, Michael Smith, Hogan Turner, Mitchell Harbison, Rich Nolte, Roy McNeil, and Dalton Lubertozzi.
