FOLEY, Ala. — GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley hosted a two day Couples Golf Tournament Oct. 1-2. Twenty-six couples participated. After completion of the tournament, players were divided into 3 flights.

Winners of Flight 1: First Place - Jorge and Susan Gonzales; Second Place Tie – Sam and Laurie Strite and Edward Sarrat and Mary O’Neal.

Flight 2: First Place, Tie – Tom and Linda Spangrud and Glenn and Vicki Capehart; Second Place Tie – Stan Jackson and Jo Smith and David and Paulette Tuyo.

Flight 3: First Place Tie – Jim and Nancy Syphurs and Buster Chase and Carolyn Whitman; Second Place – Larry and Judi Morgan; Third Place Tie – Palmer Dent and Carolyn Blue and Roger and Gay Landers.

Closest to Pin Winners: Nancy Syphurs, Ray Bark, Carolyn Whitman and Jon Hogan. Longest Putt Winners: Pat Holland and Tom Hallberg. The course and the weather were spectacular, and all the participants are looking forward to next year’s event.
