The Gulf Shores Police Association held its annual golf tournament March 5 at Peninsula Golf Course. The funds from this annual fundraiser support the association’s community outreach programs such as Shop with a Cop, Coffee with a Cop and are used to support the community during disasters.
Businesses throughout the community supported the event with sponsorships and prizes. Teams battled it out for prizes ranging from a bicycle donated by Target of Gulf Shores, AirPods donated by Alabama Credit Union to an autographed NFL helmet donated by Pleasure Island Sports Cards, just to name a few.
“We had 35 teams participate and we raised over $11,000. We are very thankful to all of our participants and sponsors that helped make the event happen,” said Jenna Darby, Gulf Shores Police Association member.
