Jehovah’s Witnesses are gearing up for a special campaign inviting residents of Baldwin County to participate in two significant events this March.

On Sunday, March 24, millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will convene to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ, an observance instituted by Jesus himself in the Gospels.

“The Memorial is considered the most important day of the year for Jehovah’s Witnesses,” said Michael McClellan, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “But around the world, millions of people who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses attend this special event. We hope that members of our local community will also join us in remembering Jesus Christ.”

The annual observance, known as the Lord’s Evening Meal, will feature a discourse highlighting the profound significance of Jesus’ sacrifice and its universal relevance. Open to the public, the hour-long event will commence and conclude with prayer.

For further insight into Jehovah’s Witnesses’ observance of the Lord’s Supper, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the event’s 'Frequently Asked Questions' page on jw.org, the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Preceding the Memorial, a special presentation titled “The Resurrection—Victory Over Death!” will be delivered at local Kingdom Halls during the weekend of March 16 and 17. This 30-minute, scripture-based public discourse will delve into the scriptural promise of a forthcoming resurrection.
