Joy L. Goodwin entered her Eternal Home on Sept. 26, 2019.
Joy was born in Conway Springs, Kansas on May 16, 1924. She and her husband, Earl, moved from Oregon in 1990 to Gulf Shores, Alabama and became active members of the First Baptist Church.
Joy worked as the church receptionist for approximately five years and was a longtime member of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. Her husband, Earl, was an active Sunday school teacher and deacon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and a sister.
She is survived by her sister, Jewell Hough of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her two stepsons, Roger (wife, Pat) of Eugene, Oregon and Don (wife, Marsha) of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren; and her "Little Life Mate" - "Bo."
A memorial service will be held Oct. 7, 2019 at noon at First Baptist Church in Gulf Shores.
Visitation will take place that day from 9-10 a.m. at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
