The Bay Minette Tiger Sharks swim team organized its inaugural Polar Plunge, a fundraising event aimed at supporting the upcoming season. Despite the cold temperatures, dozens of participants courageously took the plunge into the pool, demonstrating their commitment to the cause.

The Kiwanis Club of Bay Minette, known for its dedication to youth initiatives, contributed to the event by donating $175 to match the registration fees paid by participants. Tina Covington, representing the Kiwanis Club, presented the donation to Tiger Shark coaches Daylen DeMint and Luke Aplin. Patrick Fitzgerald will also join the coaching squad for the upcoming season.

The Tiger Sharks, who compete representing the Bay Minette Municipal Pool, participate in various local and county-wide competitions throughout the summer months, showcasing their talent and dedication to swimming.
