Minister Leon L. Allen departed this life on Thursday, April 6th, 2023.

He was born on April 28th, 1947, in Point Clear, Alabama to the late Edward and Thelma Allen. He resided in Daphne, Alabama for most of his life with his loving wife, Jenifer, of over 55 years. He was a graduate of Baldwin County Training School class of 1966. He was a long-time member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. He owned and operated Leon’s Petroleum, a successful gas and mechanic shop for 43 years in the heart of Downtown Daphne, AL.

Leon leaves to cherish his memories, wife Jenifer Allen; two daughters: Mia (Pastor Clarence) Hall of Mobile, Alabama; Whitney (Jarvis) Berry of Montgomery, Alabama; one son: Ivan (Stephanie Buchanan) Allen of Daphne, Alabama; four goddaughters: April (DaNova) Hare of Acworth, Georgia, Kendle Hooks of Atlanta, Georgia, Ta’Kiera McCovery of Point Clear, Alabama, Rylee Snider of Daphne, Alabama; one brother: Curtis (Theresa) Allen of Daphne, Alabama; two sisters: Arthelda Quaites of Reno, Nevada, Paula McCall of Point Clear, Alabama and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Leon is preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Thelma Allen.

Services as follows: The Wake was held Friday, April 14, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 19698 Greeno Rd. Fairhope, AL. 36532.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, 6690 Spanish Fort Blvd. Spanish Fort, AL. 36527. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.

Interment to be held at Jubilee Memorial Gardens Cemetery following funeral services.
