Pamela Marie Richards Vines passed away on June 25, 2023, in Gulf Shores. She was born on July 25, 1956, in Birmingham. Pam was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many through her passion for animals.

Pam was widely recognized as "the bird lady" in her community due to her extraordinary ability to connect with, breed and care for tropical birds. Her love for animals extended beyond birds, as she opened her home to multiple cats and dogs throughout her adult life. Pam's innate gift for healing and loving animals brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her devotion to animals was a testament to her independent spirit, strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to her passions.

Pam is survived by her best friend, caregiver and significant other, Rick Vines of Gulf Shores. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Richards Brown of Santa Fe, New Mexico; her niece, Valerie Brown (Chris) Mazzotti of Lawrence, Kansas; her nephew, Jackson Allen Brown (Misty) of Clayton, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Innes Richards of Pensacola, Florida; and many cousins.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Louis and Eva England Richards, and her brother, Ronald Frederic Richards.

Pam's memory will be cherished by those who loved her. Her legacy as a compassionate animal lover will continue to inspire others for years to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
