Patricia Kaye Coggins Holmes went to her heavenly home on Jan. 17, 2024, after a long illness with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Ms. Holmes was a resident of Daphne and a former resident of Fairhope and Gulf Shores. She was born on Oct. 18, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama. She attended Mobile County Public Schools and graduated from Murphy High School in 1969. She graduated from Livingston State College (now University of West Alabama) in 1974.
Ms. Holmes was preceded in death by her parents: Harris Daniel Coggins, Sr., and Eola Long Coggins; her sister, Joy Coggins Gibson: her brother, Harris Daniel Coggins, Jr.; and her daughter, Stefani Coggins Holmes Prince. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 47 years: William Joseph Holmes Sr. of Mobile; her sons: Fred Bradley Holmes of Gulf Shores and William Joseph (Marsha) Holmes Jr. of Mobile; her grand-daughters: Laura Kenli Prince and Lea Kenzi Prince of Fairhope; Brooke Holmes (Jacob) Kwitzky and Carley Holmes (Andrew) Abshire of Mobile; her great-grandson: Thomas Joseph Kwitzky of Mobile; her sister-in-law: Delores Holmes (Richard) Falls of Hoover; her brothers-in-law: Fred B. (Carol Ann) Holmes Jr. of Auburn and Thomas B. Holmes of Mobile; other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
