SILVERHILL, Alabama — Rail Events Inc. and the Wales West RV Resort & Light Railway are proud to announce Peanuts™ The Party Express will arrive in Alabama beginning on May 13. Trains depart the Wales West depot for an adventure to visit your favorite Peanuts™ characters during three weekends on May 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28.

After riding a real steam train to the event park, passengers will be greeted by Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy upon arrival at the Flashbeagle Dance Party. Activities include a fun and interactive dance party led by a professional DJ spinning kid-friendly tracks, dance lessons with Snoopy, photo opportunities with the characters, food and beverage and mini-train rides. Children and adults are encouraged to wear their favorite dance party attire.

Trains depart the Wales West depot every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $21 for children and adults. Advance reservations are recommended. For more information and reservations, please call 1-888-569-5337 or visit waleswest.com.

Wales West is a popular RV resort, campground and railroad theme park located at 13670 Smiley Street, off of County Road 9 in Silverhill.

The park attracts RV travelers in search of mild winters and a central point from which to explore the Gulf Coast.

The park’s name (and inspiration) derives from the narrow gauge railways that still serve remote areas of Wales in Great Britain. On those “light railways,” the locomotives and cars are smaller and they run on a “narrow gauge” — the distance between the tracks is 2 feet instead of 4 feet, 8½ inches for a standard railroad.

Rail Events Inc. is the industry leader in rail-related special events management. In 2016, licensed events hosted over 1 million guests at 50 partner railroads in the United States, Canada and the UK. Rail Events Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Heritage Railways, which is the premier operator of heritage railroads in the United States.
