Phillip McCrae Chapman, 80, native of Selma, Alabama, longtime resident of Fairhope, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Mr. Chapman graduated from both Auburn University with a degree in business and St. Michael's Seminary School.

He was the current rector at St. Stephen's Charismatic Episcopal Church. He also worked as a regional representative for Sealy Mattress Co. for over 30 years.

Phillip was an avid golfer and loved his family dearly.

Phillip was preceded in death by his son, Scot Chapman.

He is survived by his wife, Elouise Roush Chapman of Fairhope; son, Dan Chapman of New Orleans; daughter, Paige Chapman Walsh (Ted); grandchildren, Lindsay Chapman, Drew Chapman, Mac Chapman, Maddie and Lydia Walsh; aunt and uncle, Charles and Caroline Ennis of New Orleans; many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Phillip's life will be held, Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
