Rev. Charlton Lee Calhoun, 74, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Bay Minette, Alabama.

Mr. Calhoun was a native of Altha, Florida, former resident of Orlando, Florida and has resided in Bay Minette, Alabama for the past 29 years.

He was a member of the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Calhoun; a sister, Lois Calhoun; and an infant son.

He is survived by his five children, Jenifer and James Harrison of Bay Minette, Alabama, Cynthia and Wayne Igo of Century, Florida, Michelle and James A. Blackmon of Bay Minette, Alabama, Amy R. Roberts of Lake Wales, Florida and Lisa and Bobby Respress of Fort Meade, Florida; his special four-legged friend, Rocky Calhoun; 12 grandchildren, Melissa and William Bass, Kimberly and John Blair, Ashley and Stephen Robertson, Jessica and Chris Phillips, Stephen Harrison, Alison and Amber Blackmon, Bethany, Jacob and Emma Respress and Wade and Annalea Roberts; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas Harrison, Jordymn Phillips, Chris Phillips Jr, Travis Peavy, Jackson Peavy, Zane Blair, Blayne Blair and William "Liam" Leighton Bass; four brothers, Arnol and Cyndi Calhoun of Texas, Rev. Ernest and Velma Calhoun of Orlando, Florida, Lloyd Calhoun of Chipley, Florida and Trellis and Alexandra Calhoun of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Helen Sperry of Jacksonville, Florida and Birtie Rider of Orlando, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Vision Ministries Church of God, with Rev. Alan Blackmon, Rev. Ernest Calhoun and Rev. Joe Welch officiating.

Burial will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vision Ministries Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Harrison, Wade Roberts, Jacob Respress, Bo Bass, John Blair and Stephen Robertson.
