The Sandy McGill Healthcare Scholarship was presented recently to MaRanda McCoy, a nurse at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley. McCoy received her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama seven years ago, and is currently pursuing her master's degree in nursing at the same institution.
The Sandy McGill Healthcare Scholarship was given in memory of Sandy McGill, longtime administrator and patient advocate at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley. The McGill family was represented at the scholarship presentation by Sylvia McGill (Sandy's wife), Jo McGill Hellmich (Sandy's daughter) and Bruce McGill (Sandy's son).
