South Baldwin Chamber Membership Director Travis Valentine caught up with Home Boss Inspection owner Tim Lower to learn more about his business and what makes him successful.

Travis: When did you start Home Boss?

Tim: I started Home Boss in June of 2016.

Travis: Tell me about the service that Home Boss Inspection provides?

Tim: We have a variety of inspection services including: home inspections, commercial building inspections, 4-point inspections, air quality testing, mold testing, lead paint testing, and asbestos testing.

Travis: Tell me about some of the successes you have had since starting your business?

Tim: We have been able to add an inspector and assistant and an additional vehicle.

Travis: What did you do before starting your business, and tell me about how your loved ones reacted?

Tim: I worked as a restaurant General Manager and my family was excited to see the business start and the brand grow.

Travis: What are your future plans for the business?

Tim: We plan on hiring additional Inspectors and franchising the business.

Travis: What is your favorite part of your job?

Tim: My favorite thing about my job is meeting new people moving to our area and assisting them with making the biggest investment of their life.

Travis: Where did you grow up?

Tim: My parents were Military so we moved every 3-5 years. We did visit my grandparents many summers in beautiful Gulf Shores.

Travis: Do you have a routine or habit that helps make you successful?

Tim: Adjusting to business demands quickly, being positive and working hard.

Travis: If I handed you the phone and said your 20-year-old self is on the other end, what would you say to him?

Tim: Move to Baldwin County, Alabama!

Travis: What advice would you give someone who has a dream to start their own business?

Tim: Work hard and grow a network of people you know.

Travis: What have you most enjoyed and what have you seen the most value from your investment with the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce?

Tim: I have really enjoyed networking with local business and supporting the community.
