Perdido Beach Boulevard reduced to single lane through March

Perdido Beach Boulevard could see congestion for the next few months as the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) begins work to resurface the road.

ALDOT has reduced traffic to single lanes which could cause issues during spring break. Work is expected to be completed before summer traffic begins.

Construction is underway between Romar Beach Public Access and Gulf State Park and that work is expected to take three to four weeks. The second phase of work will be between Cotton Bayou Public Beach Access and the Perdido Pass Bridge.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed in late March or early April. Officials ask that motorists use extreme caution while driving through the construction areas.
