The Thomas Hospital Auxiliary presented a donation check of $50,000 to the Thomas Hospital Foundation. This donation presentation was made at the Auxiliary’s 59th annual meeting on Sept. 19.
These funds will help fund Thomas Hospital’s new Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab, a medical sub-specialty which provides image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease in nearly every organ system. Most IR treatments are minimally-invasive alternatives to open and laparoscopic surgery. They minimize the risk, pain and recovery time for patients, and improve health outcomes.
“We so appreciate the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary’s support of the Thomas Hospital Foundation and Thomas Hospital,” said Kathy Baugh, Thomas Hospital Foundation Vice President. “Not only do they provide valuable hours of work that keeps the hospital running, they have given generously to the Foundation to ensure we have state-of-the art equipment for our patients.”
