Can we turn the heat off yet?

The temperatures have returned to a more normal level but brought with them some showers. Our list of weekend events has both indoor and outdoor activities to keep you busy all weekend long.

Kick off the weekend by learning about fitness opportunities at the Community FitFair in Gulf Shores. If you are looking to expand on your green thumb, you should head to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and swap seeds and plant cuttings. If food is on your mind Saturday, head to Heritage Park in Foley for the Gumbo & Alabama Slammer Festival. If reading was high on your New Year's resolution list, there are two author events happening in Fairhope you should not miss.

If our list missed the mark for you, visit our event calendar at www.GulfCoastMedia.com for more events happening this weekend or beyond. Search for events by distance from your home city or vacation spot.
