While you reflect on 2023 and look forward to the new year ahead, it is also time to consider your New Year's Eve options.

Countless events are happening all over the Gulf Coast this New Year's Eve. While it may be a little late to secure tickets to some events, others are not so exclusive. Regardless of how you choose to celebrate, remember to do so responsibly and have a designated driver.

Fairhope's New Year's Eve Street Party

  • What: Live music, children's activities, a football viewing area, ball drop and fireworks are on the schedule for the annual Fairhope New Year's Eve Street Party. The event is a fun way to celebrate with your family and friends.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 31, from 8:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
  • Where: Downtown Fairhope
  • Price: The event is free to attend

Kids Confetti Drop

  • What: Ring in the New Year with your children on the streets at The Wharf. The streets will be filled with performers, music, activities like bouncy houses, rock wall and reptile encounters. At noon, the sky will fill with confetti as cannons on the second-floor balcony launch colorful bits into the sky.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 31, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Moon Pie over Mobile

  • What: New York City may have a ball of Waterford Crystal to drop for New Year's Eve but Mobile has a Moon Pie. Take to the streets of Mobile and ring in the New Year as the Moon Pie drops overhead. The event will feature top music acts and entertainment to keep you dancing all night long. Noon Year's Eve at LuLu's

  • What: Join the family fun at LuLu's Gulf Shores for a kid-friendly New Year's Eve celebration. Guests can enjoy crafts, take part in a sandcastle-building contest and more. At noon, hundreds of beach balls will fall from the sky. Get to LuLu's early if you want a table because the event is always well attended.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Where: LuLu's Gulf Shores, 200 E. 25th Ave., Gulf Shores

OWA's Ring in the Joy, Sparkle & Cheer

  • What: OWA is celebrating New Year's Eve all weekend long with three days of festivities. The fun begins Friday with a kickoff party and Saturday brings Bubbles & Beats Kids Street Party and Sparks & Sounds. The fun wraps up with a Noon Year's Eve celebration even the youngest family members can enjoy. For more details, visit www.visitowa.com.

Reelin' in the New Year

  • What: Say so long, 2023 and welcome 2024 with the annual Reelin' in the New Year Street Party at The Wharf. The event features live bands, family-friendly activities and adult-centered fun that culminates with The Park Band, the marlin drop and a grand fireworks display.
  • When: Sunday, Dec. 31, 5 p.m. to midnight
