Posted

The 3rd Annual Baldwin County Mental Health Fair is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 27. The event will located at HoneyBee Park on Highway 59 in Robertsdale and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Baldwin County, the event aims to provide a platform for arts, music and therapeutic activities geared towards promoting mental health. AltaPointe Health is the sponsor for NAMI Baldwin's 3rd Annual Mental Health Fair.

Among the highlights of the event is a car decorating contest at 10:30 a.m., where the best dressed vehicle will be recognized to raise awareness about mental illness and combat stigma. Additionally, there will be art projects for children and hands-on activities for adults.

Local talents from Baldwin and Mobile Counties will have the opportunity to showcase their skills throughout the day, emphasizing the role of creativity in emotional and mental well-being.

Professional counseling groups and the Alabama Free Clinic will provide resources, including blood pressure checks and other vital screenings. Therapy dogs will also be present, offering comfort for both children and adults.
