Over 30 Baldwin County High School students volunteered at Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort on Nov. 11. The students, who were all involved in the school's HOSA program for future health professionals, sorted and packaged food for local families in need, working in an assembly line to organize and load cars with various items in grocery carts for participating families.
The HOSA program is a part of the school's sports medicine technical program in Bay Minette. According to their website, Prodisee Pantry is a nonprofit food and disaster relief organization, providing food to local single parents, homeless persons, retirees, families in transition, under-employed and unemployed households and grandparents raising grandchildren or others in need.
The pantry is open each Tuesday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and is located at 9315 Spanish Fort Blvd. (Hwy. 31), Spanish Fort, AL 36527. For more information, visit www.prodiseepantry.org or call (251) 626-1720.
