Saturday, March 16, marked Opening Day for Bay Minette Youth Baseball League.

Andrew Davis, the newly hired head football coach at Baldwin County High School as well as BCHS head baseball coach Trenton Higginbothem, were on hand to toss out the first pitches that officially kicked off the season.

Ceremonies included recognizing the top raffle ticket sales and honoring the 14U state championship team and 11U district winners with signs which will be hung at the baseball park. The League also recognized some of its top sponsors: Premier Family Care Clinic and Chuck Stevens Automotive.

After the ceremonies were closed out, various age groups began rounds of games to open the season.
