Betty Jean Boyd, of Foley, Alabama, passed away on Apr. 26, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born Sept. 3, 1956, in Marks, Mississippi. She was born in the Mississippi Delta and spent many of her years near her maternal family in Water Valley, Mississippi.
Betty was a long-term employee of Walmart, working at the Greenville, Mississippi and Gulf Shores, Alabama stores until her retirement. She worked for years as a cash clerk in the cash office. She moved to Gulf Shores in 2004 and loved every minute of her time near the beach.
Betty is survived by her daughter April Boyd (Natalie Van Blerk) of Aurora, Illinois, her long-time partner Thomas Edward Crawford of Foley, Alabama, and siblings Dianne Dubose (Marvin) of Devers, Texas, Thomas Davis, Jr. (Rose) of Water Valley, Mississippi, Tammy Perkins (James) of Water Valley, Mississippi, Joe Davis (Anita) of Searcy, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her Mother Beverly E. Davis of Water Valley, Mississippi, and husband James Boyd, Jr., Greenville, Mississippi. A memorial service will be held at Pine Rest Funeral Home on May 9, 2024, beginning at 11:00 A.M
