Camilla Karen Hanson Butler

Camilla Karen Hanson Butler passed away on Sun., Mar. 10, 2024. She was born to James and Ellen Hanson at their home in Daphne, Alabama on Dec. 28, 1932.

Mrs. Butler was a 1951 Fairhope Highschool graduate, the school's senior quote for her was, "With everything that is pretty and sweet and wise". She was a member of the Mayday Court and loved spending time at Mayday throughout her whole life. She was a Charter and faithful member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church. 

Camilla is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Butler of Daphne.  She is also survived by four daughters: Karen Witherington, Celina Glover (Tony), Melissa McNichol and Kim Werling (Steve).  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.

Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marie Boothe, Polly Gregorius, and brother Dick Hanson.  She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Luke Allen Glover and Anna Grace Glover.

Services for Mrs. Butler were held on Thurs., Mar. 14 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne. Visitors were received at 1:00 p.m. and the service followed at 2 p.m. Her love for her family and her Lord is unmatched and will be missed.
