Historic Blakeley State Park offers many cruises, but on Saturday, Jan. 13, a special cruise will take guests to the site of the Clotilda. The guides for the special voyage are from Africatown Experience Tours, a heritage tourism organization comprised of guides and also descendants of Clotilda passengers.

The cruise departs from the dock at Cooper Riverside Park in downtown Mobile. Throughout the cruise, guests will learn about the infamous journey of the Clotilda, its passengers, the lives they lived after arriving and the enduring legacy of their experience.

The voyage to the Clotilda departs at 1:30 p.m. from the dock at Cooper Riverside Park located between the Mobile Convention Center and Gulfquest. Tickets are required and must be purchased in advance by visiting www.blakeleypark.com/things-to-do/events.

Historic Blakeley State Park also offers a Lower Delta cruise from its dock on the Tensaw River Saturday, Jan. 13, departing at 9 a.m. Visitors will explore the Tensaw River and the southern reaches of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and its hidden natural habitat. The voyage takes two hours.

The park's cruise boat, the Delta Explorer, is a covered pontoon boat equipped with bench seating and a restroom. For more information on these events, visit www.blakeleypark.com.
