Doris Oswald Corcoran, aged 96, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed peacefully on March 3, 2024, at her home in Gulf Shores, AL. She was born June 3, 1927, to Paul and Bertha Oswald. A 1945 graduate of Marian High School in Cincinnati, OH, she dedicated her entire life to service. Doris was a faithful wife and companion to Eugene Patrick Corcoran for 66 years and remained devoted to his soul in death. She defined what a true Matriarch is as the proud Mother of 4, Grandmother to 13 and Great Grandmother to 11. Her children were her life, and she was the ultimate Mom, Grandma, Gram, and “Boggie” to all. She was beloved by all who ever encountered her presence. Gone from our sight but not from our hearts!
Doris was a loving mother of four children, Timothy Patrick Corcoran (Diane) of Magnolia Springs, Cynthia Corcoran Pedersen (Arthur) of Gulf Shores, Dennis Paul Corcoran (Rebecca) of Fort Meyers, FL. & Kevin Scott Corcoran (Domini) of Gulf Shores. Doris is remembered with love by thirteen grandchildren, Brad (Mary Beth), Colleen (Scott), Megan, Courtney (Sammy), Owen (Liz), Nicholas (Emily Jayne), Kelly (Kendall), Erin (Brandon), Michael, Melanie (Jake), Kylee, Jace , Carson and nine great-grandchildren, Devan, Bailey, Patrick, Megan, Erin.
The family will be receiving guests beginning at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024 in the Vestibule of Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church located at 601 West Laurel Ave. in Foley, AL. (251-943-4009). A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. Final interment will immediately follow Mass and immediately following the Interment, there will be a reception for all family & friends in the Parish Hall immediately following Mass with lunch served.
