Hollis Washington Williams, after a short illness, died the morning of December 30, 2020. He was born February 6, 1925 in Houston Texas to the parents of James P. Williams and Medorah "Dora" Williams. As a child he lived in Whistler, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose T. Williams (married 68 years), James Perry Williams, son. He is survived by Hollis Leslie Williams, son, Katherine C. Williams, daughter-in-law and Holly Rose Williams, daughter. He was a longtime resident of Orange Beach before moving to Daphne to be close to his wife Rose Williams during her time of illness. They were married April 25, 1947. He was a military veteran of WW II in the Western Pacific where he was awarded 3 medals, one being the Good Conduct Medal. Hollis also served in Korea. Hollis was raised as a Master Mason in Bowen Lodge #240 and was a member of Pentalpha Lodge #804. He later served as Monarch of Al Hassan Grotto. Burial will be a graveside service at Pine Rest Memorial Park (Pine Rest Funeral Home), Foley, AL Friday, January 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Instead of flowers the family prefers a donation to ARC-Baldwin County, PO Box 400, Loxley, AL 36551.
