In Loving Memory of Larry Armstrong

Larry Armstrong, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away on Oct.31, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on Oct. 22, 1944, to Ward and Evelyn Armstrong. Larry touched the lives of many with his unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and love for the simple joys in life.

Larry was not only a dedicated family man but also a proud veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict. He exhibited great courage and dedication to his country, and his military service was a testament to his sense of duty and honor.

Larry will be deeply missed by his family, including his loving wife, Margaret Armstrong, and their two children, Richard and Marvin. He was a doting grandfather to his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who admired and adored their "Grandpa." Larry is also survived by his sister, Carol, and her husband, Chuck Zammit, who will forever cherish their shared memories.

Larry had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews in Ontario, Canada. His love and kindness extended across borders, leaving a lasting impact on his extended family.

Larry was a devoted brother and was preceded in death by his sisters, Beverly, and Janet. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion, where he served as a Lifetime Member, and he was also a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Coastal Alabama, where he contributed his time and energy to benefit the community and those in need.

A memorial service to celebrate Larry's life and honor his service during the Vietnam conflict will be held at a later date, allowing his family and friends to gather and pay their respects.

Larry will be remembered for his hearty laughter, his love for the outdoors, and his passion for riding motorcycles with his friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May Larry Armstrong's soul rest in peace.
