The Orange Beach Performing Arts Center announced its search for the cast of two upcoming shows, "The Wizard of Oz" and "Visions of Christmas."

"The Wizard of Oz"

We're off to see the wizard! This beloved tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has entertained audiences for generations.

• Who: Ninth grade to adults
• When: Aug. 18 from noon-7:30 p.m., Aug. 19 from 9 to10 a.m. (dance call), and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (audition slots)

"Visions of Christmas"

The City of Orange Beach Expect Excellence Music Department is calling all seventh-graders through adults to audition for vocal and instrumental roles in the third-annual Visions of Christmas. Shows will be held Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2 at 2 and 7 p.m.
