DAPHNE — With basketball teams officially starting practice this week, Baldwin County squads met with the press at the United States Sports Academy last Thursday, Oct. 12, where Ballin’ Down South hosted a basketball media day.
Teams from Elberta, Daphne, Central Christian and Snook Christian Academy were among the featured teams that cycled through the sports art museum and college to preview the upcoming basketball season. The rest of the schedule featured the other local teams including Baldwin County, Bayside Academy, Bayshore Christian, Fairhope, Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Robertsdale, Spanish Fort and St. Michael.
Playoff teams from last year were looking for another deep run while those who missed out return with a desire to right their ship toward the postseason.
