C Spire, a leading telecommunications and technology services company, is embarking on a rapid expansion of its fiber infrastructure, aiming to bring multi-gigabit home fiber internet with speeds of up to 8-gig to thousands of homes in Robertsdale.

Toby Dubois, general manager of home services for C Spire, highlighted the company's commitment to fiber infrastructure in Alabama.

"C Spire has prioritized fiber infrastructure in Alabama through a $500 million investment over the last three years,” Dubois said. “Connectivity serves as a catalyst for community transformation, fostering innovation, attracting investment and driving economic growth. We are excited to provide residents of Robertsdale with the advantages of ultra-fast and reliable home internet.”

Construction of fiber is already underway in Nana Loop and Richmond Street in Robertsdale, with additional neighborhoods slated for completion over the next 12-18 months. Homeowners in the Robertsdale area can now order residential fiber and sign up at www.cspire.com/fiber.

Local government, community and business leaders are rallying residents to embrace the new service. Mayor Charles H. Murphy of Robertsdale expressed appreciation for C Spire's investment in upgrading data applications in the city.

“The City of Robertsdale certainly appreciates the financial investment that C Spire is making in the upgrade of data applications in our city,” Murphy said. “This offers us the opportunity for enhanced and quality communication services that will be achieved through the installation of their new fiber ring in Robertsdale.”

Lee Lawson, President & CEO of the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, emphasized the significance of C Spire's investment in fiber resources for Robertsdale's economic development.

“Robertsdale is at the geographic center of one of the country’s fastest growing and top economic development counties,” Lawson said. “Residential and commercial investment is booming in Robertsdale, and C Spire’s continued investment in fiber resources will surely assist in maintaining that positive investment momentum.”

Since its inception in 2014, C Spire has launched fiber service across more than 150 communities in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Tennessee. South Alabama cities offering C Spire's fiber internet include Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Foley, Fairhope, Robertsdale, Spanish Fort, as well as unincorporated areas of Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The company remains committed to accelerating fiber deployment across Alabama and Mississippi, providing ultra-fast broadband internet access for residents and advanced voice and data services for businesses.
