As spring rolls in, the Flora-Bama is gearing up for a month filled with community events and festivities.

This Saturday, March 16, the Flora-Bama invites the community to join its annual Beach Run/Walk for America’s Warriors 5K and Half Marathon. The event, held in the sandy shores behind Flora-Bama, aims to support the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Registration fees contribute directly to this cause, providing college scholarships and educational counseling to the surviving children of American Special Operations personnel lost in the line of duty. This year's race will honor Master Sergeant Jared N. Van Aalst. Participants can register for the half marathon for $100, starting at 7:30 a.m., or the 5K run/walk for $35, beginning at 9 a.m.

The party continues on Sunday for the Flora-Bama's St. Patty’s Day celebration. March 17 promises green bushwackers, Irish food specials and a lively lineup of over a dozen artists across six stages, starting at noon. Among the performers are Johnny Hayes, Patrick Cross, Al & Cathy and many more.

The community is encouraged to join in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Kids’ Fun Day on March 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, free for all ages, features arts and crafts starting at 11 a.m., an Easter egg hunt on the beach at 12 p.m., and a special appearance by the Easter bunny skydiving onto the beach at 12:30 p.m. Kids can enjoy searching for over 10,000 hidden eggs and capture memorable moments with the bunny after his landing. Participants are reminded to bring their own egg baskets.

Wrapping up the month on Sunday, March 31, Flora-Bama hosts Worship on the Water church services on the sands behind the venue. The sunrise service begins at 6 a.m., followed by the regularly scheduled services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
