Rain delays opening of Foley's Graham Creek Nature Preserve Christmas Trail

Posted

The Christmas Trail at Foley's Graham Creek Nature Preserve will open Friday, Dec. 8.

The trail features festive holiday lights and displays along the boardwalk at the municipal nature preserve. Originally scheduled to open Saturday, Dec. 2, the opening was postponed due to the predictions of heavy rain that day. The U.S. Weather Service forecast calls for a 90% chance of rain Saturday with 20 mile-an-hour wind gusts.

The trail will be open Dec. 8, 9, 15, 16 and 17 at the preserve. Hours for the event are 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each night. Admission is $5. Children 2 and younger are admitted at no charge.

The Graham Creek Nature Preserve is located at 23030 Wolf Bay Drive in Foley.

Check the event calendar and other weekend events to ensure your plans are not in need of a rain check.
