Kensey Collins, a freshman at Spanish Fort High School, will compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant in Nevada on Sept. 29.

Collins, who was previously crowned Miss Alabama Teen USA in January, will compete against the titleholders from each state.

According to the official Miss AL Teen USA website, Collins was born in Homewood but now calls Spanish Fort home. She is also a part of the National Junior Honor Society and a member of the high school's cheerleading squad.

"Kensey plans to one day run her own design business and loves to upcycle clothes in her spare time. She is currently working with a sewing coach to continue to broaden her skills in this area," the biography read.

The Miss Teen USA pageant will be available to stream on The CW app and cwtv.com, on Friday, Sept. 29.
