Spanish Fort Middle School recently named a new assistant principal.
Kim Turner joins the Toro family for her 22nd year in education, having taught elementary and middle school grades in Mississippi and Alabama. According to the school on a social media post, Turner moved across the bay to Baldwin County over 10 years ago. Her three children have attended Spanish Fort schools.
"With two-thirds of my children in college, I can attest to Baldwin County Board of Education's ability to cultivate success in the students they serve," she wrote in the post. "My children are thriving, and I am extremely grateful to the teachers, coaches, and administrators of Spanish Fort for their part in my children's success."
Turner has worked at Daphne Middle as a science teacher and administrator and Central Baldwin Middle as an administrator.
"It only seems fitting to come full circle to Spanish Fort Middle where I know the commitment to excellence is at the forefront of its mission to serve our students and community," she wrote.
