BAY MINETTE — It’s time to play ball.

The Bay Minette Youth Softball League kicked off its season on Saturday, March 2, with an opening ceremony followed by a series of games.

Mallory Radwitch, head softball coach at Coastal Alabama Community College, tossed out the ceremonial first pitch. The opening ceremonies also included a welcome by Mayor Bob Wills, prayer by Ethan Pettis and the National Anthem performed by Josh Howard.
